About the Brand 

While in college, Selldretti, founder of Selldretti Music, created the label and brand in its official capacity in early 2017.  While under the label, the Columbus, Ga native released two solo albums, one mixtape, one EP, and 12 singles.  In addition, Selldretti composed the rap group Selldretti Music Group (SMG) with the members Sharheem, K’Lauren, DJ Kin, LBS, B-Herz, and JAY4Real, and released one group album. 
Selldretti implemented the slogan, “Follow the Movement” into the brand’s image to insinuate the “movement” of pushing good, quality Hip-Hop across the nation and the world at large.  The brand’s sole mission is to ensure that only the highest level of quality Hip-Hop music and merchandise is released to the masses. From story-telling, signature lyricism and flow, to embedding messages into songs that will leave listeners tied up in deep thoughts, Selldretti Music vows to supply the music industry with these qualities and more!

MEET THE FOUNDER


Walker Vernal Seldon (born May 18, 1994), popularly known by the stage name Selldretti, is an American rapper, lyricist, and producer residing in Fayetteville, U.S. In 2017, his hit single "Welcome to Columbus, Ga" got numerous positive reviews thus leading to his popularity in the music industry. He is an independent artist who has his own record label called Selldretti Music.


Selldretti was born in Columbus, Georgia where he went to Northside High School. Before graduating, he enrolled in the United States Army with the rank of Private First Class.


In 2014, Selldretti deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan with the 10th Mountain Division in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. While there, he received an offer from the United States Military Academy Preparatory School which he accepted and made and early return to the U.S. to attend. In 2019, he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Law from the United States Military Academy and commissioned into the United States Army as a 2nd Lieutenant. On June 22, 2019 he received a Proclamation from the Mayor of Columbus, the Honorable B.H. "Skip" Henderson III, to assign this day as 2nd Lieutenant Walker Vernal Seldon Day to commend the achievement of being the first African American male born and raised from Columbus, Georgia to graduate from the prestigious institution.


Selldretti attracted enthusiasm for rapping from his more established sibling Marcus Seldon, who is known by his stage name Marcus Muscogee. He refers to rappers like Tupac, Biggie Smalls, Nas, Jay-Z and Curren$y as influencers of his rap style. In 2017, Selldretti released his first single "Welcome to Columbus, Ga" which was featured on DJ Young Cee's mixtape Record Labels Need Me Vol. 88. The single was also featured on his debut album "Life Goes On" which was originally released in late 2016 however released on streaming platforms in 2017.


Around the same time, Selldretti assembled a rap group called S.M.G. consisting of members B-Hernz, LBS, K'lauren, DJ Kin, Sharheem, and Jay4Real. They released their first and only group album "The Move" in 2017. In December 2017, Selldretti released his second solo album "Back to the Boom" which includes his hit single "Rock the Block (Salute to Ghetto Concept)". In 2018, he released his hit mixtape "The Dilla Way: A Tribute to J. Dilla" to commemorate the legendary Hip Hop producer J. Dilla. In 2019 he released his EP "The People V. Sharheem".


Because of military commitments and concentrating on his family, Selldretti enjoyed a long reprieve from making music and made his return in 2020 with the release of his freestyle "Still Movin". He also released his single “The Final Chapter” featuring M.J.S.1 in late 2020. In April 2021, Selldretti released his single “Composure”, which hit #1 on the iTunes Top 100 Hip Hop/Rap Charts and #2 overall on the iTunes Top 100 Charts in South Africa.

Through the span of his profession, Selldretti has amassed more than 9,000,000 worldwide, highlighting his best singles such as "Welcome to Columbus, Ga", "Rock the Block (Salute to Ghetto Concept)", and "Get It Jumpin'". 

Selldretti married his wife, Amber Seldon, on May 28, 2019. Amber graduated from Albany State University in 2016 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She went on to receive her Master's Degree in School Counseling from Troy University in 2020. On September 15, 2019 their daughter, Waverly Seldon, was born. They reside in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
